How to observe yourself realistically and tune into your own thoughts, feelings and actions.

  • Pay attention to and notice your reactions in different situations. Look for patterns in how you feel and in how you behave.
  • Ask a trusted person to make some observations for you. What do they notice when you're at your best and worst?
  • Create space between something happening and you responding. Creating a separation improves judgment.
