How to understand and act on feedback for improvement.
- Frame your mindset to wanting to understanding the feedback as opposed to needing to defend it.
- Hear it out fully. Ask clarifying questions and then restate your understanding of what you've heard for accuracy.
- You don't need to act on all feedback. Take it onboard, but assess the value. Feedback that is personal or an assessment of character is not constructive.
