Be Inclusive
How to seek input and accommodate people from all backgrounds. Especially those historically excluded based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age or ability.
- Explore possible barriers to inclusion. What unconscious biases exist? Are there access, language, or communication barriers?
- If decision making is easy this could be a red flag. Ask why you were able to come to a simple conclusion. Did everyone really agree and did everyone get an equal say?
- Seek out the opinions of someone who sees things differently from yourself. Look for the polar opposite to challenge your own thinking.
